Jeremy Jones, born April 30, 1971, in Baytown, Texas, is a renowned professional pool player with an impressive career spanning several decades. He captured the US Open One Pocket Championship in 1998 and the US Open 9-Ball Championship in 2003. Jones has represented Team USA in the Mosconi Cup on seven occasions and was the runner-up at the 1999 WPA World Nine-Ball Championship, losing 13-8 to Nick Varner in the final.

Jones discovered his passion for pool at age 17 while working as a pizza delivery driver in Houston, Texas. He later left his delivery job to work at a game room, allowing him to play pool regularly. After years of honing his skills in amateur tournaments across the United States, Jones began to make a name for himself in the competitive pool scene.

In 1997, Jones secured his first major title by winning the BCA National 8-Ball Masters, having been the runner-up the previous year. He continued to build his resume with a victory at the BCA 9-Ball Open in 2008. Jones is married to Amy, and they currently reside in Dallas, Texas.

He is also set to appear in the upcoming billiard film "The Tale of Texas Pool," scheduled for release on December 25, 2024.

Jones turned professional in 1994 and has since toured extensively, competing in nearly every state in the U.S. His career highlights include winning the Texas Open 9-Ball Championship in 1994 and 2002, the U.S. Open One-Pocket Championship in 1998, and the U.S. Open 9-Ball Championship in 2003. He also triumphed at the Houston Open in 2007 and the BCA Open Nine-Ball Championship in 2008.

In January 2018, Jones was inducted into the One Pocket Hall of Fame for his significant contributions to the game. He has been actively involved in the Mosconi Cup as both a player and a captain, serving as Team USA's captain in 2020 and 2021 and vice-captain in 2019. Jones also served as a commentator at the 2021 US Open.
